TAPE-MINI, a tape saturation plug-in by Loft Audio Plugins

TAPE-MINI

Miniature tape saturation

A tape saturator built to add warmth and punch to drums. One big saturation knob does most of the work, backed by high- and low-pass filters, auto gain, a mid/side fader, a mono switch and an oversampling mode.

I developed TAPE-MINI for Loft Audio Plugins, from the DSP to the finished, shipping plug-in.

Bitronix

BX-1 · bit crusher / downsampler / wavefolder / noise

Break a signal four ways and watch it happen. It crushes from 32 bits down to 2, downsamples up to 50×, adds a sine wavefolder and four kinds of digital noise, then gives you a speaker sim and a width control to put the wreckage where you want it.

A CRT screen switches between an oscilloscope, a vectorscope and a 3D spectrum, so you can see the folding happen. The fold is a sine fold with antialiasing, measured 7 dB cleaner than a plain fold, and at zero it is bit-for-bit bypassed.

Coming soon · Windows VST3 + standalone

About

Hello!

I'm an audio programmer, plug-in developer and musician based in Seattle, WA.

I have a BS in Computer Science and Digital Audio from DigiPen Institute of Technology and an AS in Audio Engineering Technology. I build audio software in C++ and JUCE: first at Loft Audio Plugins, and now at lyd audio, my own plug-in line.

I've spent nearly two decades in music production, recording and live sound, and you can always find me trying to learn the next instrument that strikes my curiosity.
